1.

About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the UNIGOO platform, including our mobile application, website, digital wallet, NFC transit card, and related services (collectively, the "Services") provided by UNIGOO Technologies ("UNIGOO", "we", "us", or "our").

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and UNIGOO. Please read them carefully before using our Services.

2.

Acceptance

By registering for an account, using the UNIGOO app, signing up to our waitlist, or using your UNIGOO NFC card, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

3.

About UNIGOO

UNIGOO is a campus transport technology platform that enables students to pay for campus transport, manage a digital wallet, and use an NFC-enabled card to board approved transport services on their university campus. UNIGOO acts as a technology intermediary between students and transport operators and does not itself operate transport vehicles.

4.

Eligibility

To use UNIGOO, you must:

  • Be enrolled as a student at a university where UNIGOO operates.
  • Be at least 16 years of age, or have parental or guardian consent if younger.
  • Provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
  • Not be prohibited from using our Services under applicable law.

UNIGOO reserves the right to verify eligibility at any time and to suspend or terminate accounts that do not meet these requirements.

5.

User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at the contact address in Section 24 if you suspect unauthorised access to your account. UNIGOO will not be liable for any loss resulting from unauthorised use of your account where you have failed to take reasonable steps to protect your credentials.

You may not create multiple accounts, share your account with others, or use another person's account without authorisation.

6.

UNIGOO Digital Wallet

The UNIGOO digital wallet ("Wallet") is a stored-value account that allows you to fund a balance and use it to pay for approved campus transport services.

6.1 Wallet Funding

You may fund your Wallet using approved payment methods displayed in the app. Funds are held by UNIGOO on your behalf and can only be used for services available on the platform. Wallet balances do not earn interest. Funds added to the Wallet are non-transferable to other users except where UNIGOO expressly enables such features.

6.2 Wallet Misuse

You must not fund your Wallet using stolen, fraudulent, or unauthorised payment methods. Any fraudulent funding will result in immediate account suspension, reversal of funds, and referral to appropriate authorities. UNIGOO reserves the right to freeze Wallet balances pending investigation of suspected fraud or misuse.

7.

Transportation Payments

When you tap your NFC card or use the UNIGOO app to board a transport service, the applicable fare is deducted from your Wallet balance. Fares are set by transport operators and displayed in the app. UNIGOO does not guarantee the accuracy of fare information provided by operators and is not responsible for operator pricing decisions.

You are responsible for ensuring sufficient Wallet balance before boarding. UNIGOO does not extend credit for fare payments.

8.

NFC Cards

Your UNIGOO NFC card is issued to you personally and is non-transferable. You must not lend, sell, or otherwise transfer your card to any other person. If your card is lost, stolen, or damaged, you must report it immediately through the app or to our contact address in Section 24 to have the card deactivated. UNIGOO is not liable for fraudulent use of a card that has not been promptly reported as lost or stolen.

A replacement fee may apply for lost or damaged cards. Card issuance fees, where charged, are non-refundable.

9.

Transaction Records

UNIGOO maintains records of all transactions on your account. You can view your transaction history within the app. If you believe a transaction is incorrect, you must dispute it within 30 days of the transaction date. UNIGOO will investigate and, where an error is confirmed, process a correction. UNIGOO's transaction records are the authoritative record for all disputes.

10.

Transport Information and Availability

UNIGOO provides information about available campus transport services in good faith but does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or real-time availability of such information. Transport services are operated by independent transport operators; UNIGOO is not responsible for delays, cancellations, route changes, or the conduct of transport operators or their staff.

11.

Third-Party Services

Our platform integrates with third-party services including payment processors, cloud providers, and university systems. Use of those third-party services is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies. UNIGOO is not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or conduct of third-party services.

12.

User Data and Privacy

Your use of UNIGOO is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using our Services, you consent to the collection, use, and sharing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy.

13.

Fees and Charges

UNIGOO may charge fees for certain services, including card issuance, replacement, or premium features. All fees will be clearly disclosed in the app before you incur them. UNIGOO reserves the right to introduce or amend fees with reasonable notice. Continued use of the Services after a fee change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new fees.

14.

Refunds, Reversals, and Disputes

Wallet top-ups are generally non-refundable once processed, except where required by applicable law or where UNIGOO determines that a technical error has occurred. Transaction disputes must be raised within 30 days of the transaction. UNIGOO will investigate disputes in good faith and communicate outcomes within 14 business days. Refund decisions are at UNIGOO's discretion and subject to the investigation outcome.

15.

Prohibited Activities

You must not:

  • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose.
  • Attempt to circumvent fare payment or defraud transport operators.
  • Share, sell, or transfer your account or NFC card to another person.
  • Use automated tools to access our platform without authorisation.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or tamper with any part of our platform.
  • Upload malicious code, engage in phishing, or attempt to breach our security.
  • Use our Services to harass, abuse, or harm any other person.
  • Provide false or misleading information during registration or use.

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account suspension, termination, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.

16.

Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, software, and intellectual property on the UNIGOO platform are owned by or licensed to UNIGOO Technologies. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Services for their intended purpose. You must not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any UNIGOO content without our prior written consent.

17.

Service Availability

UNIGOO will use reasonable efforts to keep the platform available but does not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may suspend or restrict access for maintenance, security reasons, or events outside our control. UNIGOO will not be liable for losses arising from downtime or service interruptions where we have acted reasonably.

18.

Security

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials and device secure. You must not share your password or allow unauthorised persons to access your account. UNIGOO will never ask for your password via email, phone, or chat. Enable two-factor authentication where available to protect your account.

19.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, UNIGOO's total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the Services is limited to the amount you paid to UNIGOO in the 12 months preceding the claim.

UNIGOO is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, or loss of goodwill. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

20.

Transport Operator Responsibility

Transport operators on the UNIGOO platform are independent parties and are solely responsible for the transport services they provide, including safety, punctuality, vehicle condition, and driver conduct. UNIGOO does not supervise or control transport operators and cannot be held liable for incidents that occur on or in connection with their vehicles or services.

21.

Account Suspension and Termination

UNIGOO may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or if your account is inactive for an extended period. Where suspension is due to suspected fraud, UNIGOO may freeze your Wallet balance pending investigation.

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Upon closure, any remaining Wallet balance will be refunded to you, less any outstanding fees or disputed amounts, subject to identity verification.

22.

Changes to These Terms

UNIGOO may update these Terms from time to time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes via email or an in-app notification. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of a revised set of Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not accept the changes, you must stop using the Services and close your account.

23.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms that cannot be resolved by good-faith negotiation will be referred to arbitration in accordance with applicable Nigerian arbitration law, or to the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria.
